My Story
I have been a girls’ health and education activist since 2015. I encountered the story of Malala Yousafzai and her fight for girls’ education in 2nd grade and was deeply moved. Inspired by her genuine compassion and desire to make a change, I started engaging in social justice work, and have collaborated with the Malala Fund and other not-for-profit organizations since. My work with them to create awareness as well as my experiences hearing directly from impacted individuals in the local community have led me to learn a lot about the global lack of girls’ education and specifically helped me understand how inadequate access to healthcare is one of the biggest contributors to the education crisis. As an activist, my goal is to use my learning to create greater awareness and make a difference in any small way that I can!

Even before graduating in 2018, Anya Sen had already made an enormous impression upon the Caedmon community for her devotion to girls’ education. Like many around the world, she was inspired by the story of Malala Yousafzai. Apple TV + discovered her in preparation for Season 2 of their popular “Dear…” biography program.
Dear...
(Season 2, Episode 7 on Apple TV+)
I was honored to tell my story in a letter to my idol, Malala Yousafzai and be featured on the Apple TV+ series "Dear..."
Malala has always been my inspiration for my activism and she has taught me that you are never too young to fight for the cause you believe in.
