Turning Point for Women and Families is the first community based, not for profit organization to directly address domestic violence in NYC's muslim community. Its mission is to help Muslim women and girls affected by domestic violence to empower themselves and transform their own lives as well as those of their families.

The Caedmon School
As the first Montessori school in New York City, Caedmon’s tried and true methods encourage children to discover who they are in an environment that values care and empathy. The school nurtures empathy in its students to value perspectives other than their own.

SAMHAJ
(part of National Alliance on Mental Illness: NAMI, NJ)
SAMHAJ provides education, support and advocacy for South Asians affected by serious mental illness. South Asians of Asian Indian and Pakistani origin, as well as those from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives are welcome to seek support and information from SAMHAJ. The lotus is a symbol of creation, purity, spontaneity, and diving beauty in South Asian culture.
